WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE
ALPHARETTA HIGH SCHOOL RAIDER BANDS!
Alpharetta High School, located in Alpharetta, GA opened its doors in the fall of 2004, and the Alpharetta High School Band was born. With 39 original band members (including both flag girls), the program has grown to over 200 members. We currently offer performance opportunities with Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, two Percussion Ensembles, Jazz Band, and the award-winning Marching Raiders. Included with the Marching Raiders is our 25-member Raider Color Guard, which is open to band and non-band members (tryouts each spring).
Our ensembles are consistently rated superior at festivals and competitions. Highlight performances include annual appearances at Georgia Music Educators LGPE, regular trips to the Florida gulf coast with our Marching Raiders, performing at the West Florida Invitational and the Emerald Coast Invitational, a Wind Ensemble performance at the National Concert Band Festival on stage at Carnegie Hall in New York City in the spring of 2006, and a performance at the Heritage Band Festival in San Francisco, CA in the spring of 2008. We have an expanded daily Band curriculum that includes three concert ensembles and two percussion classes, plus a Jazz band which meets weekly during zero period. It is great to be in Band at Alpharetta High School!!
